The Advocating Mama

Don’t mess with the advocating mama.

We are a different breed.
We are relentless.
We can be ruthless when it comes to protecting our babies.
And we will never give up on them.

Those are the easiest promises for us to make, aren’t they? Absolutely.

After months of being dismissed, gaslit, and overwhelmed with unsolicited advice from people who have never experienced this level of parenthood… we’ve had enough.

We don’t stay quiet anymore.

So if a medical professional makes a comment saying
“10 months is when babies become behavioral and start testing boundaries,”
instead of listening to the 45 minutes of symptoms, patterns, concerns, and evidence we just explained…

They’re fired.

Because listening matters. Respect matters. And the two go hand in hand.

No more tolerating providers who dismiss parents.
No more accepting comments that minimize our babies’ struggles.
No more being made to feel dramatic for advocating.

You know your baby, mama.

And if you are struggling, I want you to know you are not alone.

Please email me at thepatientmamahelp@gmail.com if you need support navigating difficult medical situations. I can help guide you through advocating respectfully but confidently, asking the right questions, seeking second opinions, setting boundaries, and standing firm in what your baby needs.

Because your voice matters.
And your instincts matter too.
